Anna about herself

I'm Anna Aigner, born in 1987, a body-oriented psychotherapy practitioner in supervision. My pronoun is she. I'm a daughter, the mother of a wonderful girl, a niece, a partner and a woman.

I'm in love with art in all its forms – theatre, music, film and visual art. Three years ago I swapped the bustle of Zagreb for life in Poreč, earning myself the prestigious title of small-town provincial.

I've been working in therapeutic practice for ten years, and my everyday life is spiced up further by work in a commercial gallery, where I meet the inexhaustible charm of the tourist season.

My professional path includes training in CIR, psychosexual development and family constellations, training at the Rebro University Hospital Centre (with war veterans and victims), studies in Core Energetics (Sigmar and Cornelia Gerken), and training in Core Soma.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I've long been a professional patient and consumer of psychotherapy myself – from body-oriented and somatic, through group, to Gestalt approaches.

I love movement – sport, yoga, walks and dance. I enjoy podcasts, writing, singing, spending time with people, good food and exploring new places.

In Kreativne Fleke I want to create a safe and supportive space for women – and, of course, to play. Because play is a serious matter.

Laura about herself

I was born in 1988 in Pula and grew up in Rovinj – a small, quiet town that shaped my imagination and my tendency to observe the world around me. But as I grew up, Rovinj became too small for me, and its tendency to judge often cruel.

Drawn to creativity and eager for adventure, I enrolled at the School of Applied Arts and Design in Pula and moved there. Among other things, that's where I learned to cook for myself, more or less. I chose graphic design – not because it particularly appealed to me, but because that's what “the best students” chose. The logical next step was a design degree, although I wasn't the ideal “fit”. Still, I managed to tame my wild artistic side into a form the professors could digest.

After university I found myself in the IT sector – surrounded by enough strange and clever people who expressed their creativity in a different, logical and structured way. I combined my love of visual expression with an interest in technology, interaction and digital media.

But whatever the challenges at work, the biggest challenge in my life was motherhood. Burnout isn't reserved for the business world – there is parental burnout too, and it's talked about far too little. That period pushed me to get to know myself more deeply, to question what had led me to exhaustion and how I could prevent it.

Psychology, human behaviour, what a person needs to be happy, where certain feelings come from and how to increase wellbeing – these are the topics I explore intensively.

In Kreativne Fleke I've found a way to talk about them with other women, to explore and grow together. Through Fleke I'm also bringing more feminine energy into my life, which until now has been steeped in male principles.
